about my clinical work

Hey there,

I’m Dean (they/them), a queer, trans non-binary, neurodivergent psychotherapist living with chronic illness. My own journey in psychotherapy and mental health has inspired me to enter the field. I earned my BFA in Acting from SUNY Purchase and my MA in Clinical Psychology, with a Depth/Spiritual Specialization from Antioch Los Angeles.

I support queer and trans folks of all ages. My therapy approach is anti-oppressive and compassionate: we might talk, draw, or use ritual to explore identity, authenticity, and connection. My work uses ecological and decolonial approaches to healing along with evidence-based skills. While I work with people of varying identities, my work centers queer theory. I draw on over 15 years as a professional performer, playwright and lifelong spiritual practice to my clinical work. I’ve practiced mediation with Josh Korda, Mata Amritanandamayi, René Rivera, and Fresh “Lev” White.

As a teacher, I’ve taught on eating disorder recovery, meditation, visual arts, reiki, the Akashic Records, and playwriting. I especially love working with artists, activists, and other tender souls navigating life’s big shifts.

Think of me as a fellow traveler—carrying a lantern and snacks while we walk your path together.
